Down cutting and backfilling activities were carried out as usual during the day. Down cutting was done using the regular 349E CAT excavator and the dirt was hauled by the two heavy duity 745C loading trucks. Down cutting was done from a nearby road cut.

The hauled dirt in the backfill location is spread by the 61Pxi Komatsu Bulldozer while compaction was done using the 815F CAT Roller. The moisture of the soil is in the wet side sometimes a little higher that the proctor plus minus limit. Compaction test is close to 95% often, below suggesting either less rolling or wet to be compacted. However, proof rolling shows no significant pumping.

The backfill is generally at Lots 26-30 and the total area of backfill is 260×55 square feet.

The weather is chilly in the morning while warm and pleasant in the afternoon.
