Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

• Upon arrival, the contractor was engaged in excavating a CAT 349E on the south of the project site for a detention pond. Suitable soils were being transported with tandem dump trucks CAT 745, while dozing and leveling were performed with a Komatsu 512PXi.  Compaction work was carried out using a CAT 815F2
• Various size boulders were used in backfilling under the pond area as per instructions.
