Observations/Finding

As requested the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes and material submittals.
The following observations were observed on the site this day.

• Excavation of a trench for the installation and placement of 13 foot long, 12-inch diameter water line for the fire hydrant progressed using CAT(315FL) equipment.
• The placement of No. 57 atop the water line for the fire hydrant progressed.
• One (1) foot lifts were placed and compacted for trench backfill using a trench packer (RTSC3).
• Density test results indicate that the compacted material met the project requirements of 95% the maximum dry density obtained by the (Standard Proctor ASTM 698).
