Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day:

Center of Site

Objective:
To obtain soil samples for determining the moisture-density relationship (Proctor).

Site Observations:

• No construction equipment was active on the site at the time of sampling.
• The soil sample was collected manually using a shovel.
• Sampling Depth:
  • The sample was taken from a depth of 1 to 2 feet below the current surface elevation.

Testing Procedure:

• The soil sample was transported to the laboratory for analysis to determine the optimal moisture content and maximum dry density via Proctor testing.

Conclusion:
No further observations were made on-site. The results of the Proctor test will provide necessary information regarding the soil’s compaction properties and suitability for construction.
