Concrete Placement Information

Location(S):
Testing: 2 Set of concrete specimens (7 Cylinders per set) were cast during the cast-in-place concrete pour at the above referenced location, in accordance with ASTM C31. The cylinders will remain on site for the initial 24-48 hrs curing.
Compliance:

Field placement of concrete appeared to be in accordance with the project specifications (i.e., slump, temperature, etc) (refer to remarks below)

2 Sets of concrete cylinders/ 7 cylinders per set were picked up & transported to AS Engineering and Consulting LLC (ASEC) for curing and testing in accordance with ASTM C39, C670/1231
Field Curing: Cylinders were stored for the initial 24 hours

Remarks: The following was completed: 1) Stripped one set of 7 beams. 2) Conducted air content, concrete temperature, slump, and unit weight testing for freshly placed concrete. 3) Four separate air content tests indicated an air content higher than specifications. The fifth test indicated air content within specifications. 4) Two (2) sets of beams were cast for 189 and 405 cubic yards placed.
