Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes and material submittals.

The following observations were observed on the site this day:

• The placement and compaction of backfill for the construction entrance was in progress using CP54B, RA30, D51PX and CAT330 equipment.
• Construction and placement of a 25-foot-long section of segmental retaining wall section #D was in progress.
• Excavation and preparation of foundation for placement and construction of box culverts adjacent to the detention pond was in progress.
• Excavation and preparation of foundation for construction of segmental retaining wall section #D was completed.
• At the time of arrival our representative observed that the work was in progress at the construction entrance with 1-foot lifts being placed and compacted using CP54B and D51PX equipment.
• Density test results indicate that the compacted material met the project requirements of 95% of the maximum dry density obtained by a Standard Proctor ASTM 698.
