Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes and material submittals.

The following observations were observed on the site this day:

• The placement and compaction of backfill for Lots #80 to 88 was in progress using CP54B, RA30, D51PX and CAT330 equipment.
• Installation of 222 feet of retaining wall (SRW) was in progressed with 1-foot lifts being placed and compacted using CP54B and BMP8500 equipment.
• The trench excavation continued at the inlet area of the existing detention pond for the installation and placement of storm water manholes and lines.
• Installation and placement of CIB2 4’0 1/2 storm water manholes and lines continued.
• At the time of arrival our representative observed that the work was in progress in Lots #80 to 88 wtih 1-foot lifts being placed and compacted using CP54B and D51PX equipment.
• Density test results indicate that the compacted materials met the project requirement of 95% of the maximum dry density obtained by a Standard Proctor ASTM 698.
