Contractor used a Komatsu PC490 LC excavator to dig trench and place storm drain and MH 8.7,8.8, 8.9. Once storm drain was placed contractor then placed No. 57 stone to 6 inches above the storm drain. Contractor compacted using walk-behind and sheeps-foot roller.
Our representative observed contractor usinga CAT 3364 excavator to dig sewer trench between MH 6.8-6.9. Once contractor excavated the trench, main sewer line was placed. Contractor used CAT 938K loader to bring in No. 57 stone. They placed the No. 57 stone to 6 inches above the drainpipe. Backfill was then placed and compacted with a walk-behind roller.
Contractors also used a Komatsu PC490 LC excavator to dig trench and lay storm drain between MH Ae.4-Ae.5. Once storm drain was placed, contractor placed No. 57 stone to 6 inches above pipe. Backfilling and compaction with a walk-behind roller then proceeded.
