Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
This report documents the observations and assessments performed by the undersigned ASEC representative at the request of the Client and/or Contractor. The purpose of this site visit was to evaluate the newly installed soil cement subgrade for the interior roads of the future subdivision.
Visual observation techniques were employed to ensure that the work in place adhered to the Project Plans, Specifications, Codes, Standards, and Material Submittals.
A fully loaded tandem axle dump truck was used to conduct the proof-rolling assessment (shown in the attached pictures). The truck was driven over both lanes of the interior roads to verify the integrity and stability of the subgrade. The vehicle’s weight and movement were utilized to identify any potential areas of distress or instability in the subgrade.
During the proof-roll operation, no areas of severe distress were observed or noted. The subgrade exhibited little to no signs of deflection, rutting, pumping, or any other forms of instability.
Based on the visual observations and the results of the proof-rolling assessment, the subgrade appears to be acceptable for further construction activities. The work performed by the contractor for the installation of the soil cement subgrade was found to be in general accordance with the project specifications and requirements.
Given the satisfactory performance observed during the proof-rolling, we recommend proceeding with the subsequent phases of construction. It is advisable to continue visually inspecting the subgrade condition as construction progresses to ensure ongoing compliance with project standards.
