Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.

The following observations were observed on the site this day:

• The placement and compaction of backfill for an 8115.8 square-foot area was in progress using sheeps-foot (CP54B), (RA30), (D51PX) and (CAT330) equipment.
• The placement and compaction of backfill soil for Section 2 was in progress using sheeps-foot (CP54B), (RA30), (D51PX) and (CAT330) equipment.
• At the time of arrival our representative observed that work was in progress in Section 1 and Section 2.  Ten (10) inch lifts were being placed and compacted using sheeps-foot (CP54B) and (D51PX) equipment.
• Proof-rolling tests was conducted at Section 2. Our representative observed that the soil was severely deflecting and pumping due to wet conditions. The mentioned section was found to exhibit high moisture content soils.  This area requires scarification and recompaction (and retesting).
