Observations/Finding

At the request of the client’s representative, our AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative visited the job site to observe the contractor’s work activities from a quality standpoint to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals and conducted QC testing per the project drawings and specifications.  The following observations were made on site this shift:

• Kelly was stripping topsoil east of eastern shoulder and west of western shoulder of the Taxiway phase 7A to place SQD.
• BBH installed power lines in the above location for lights.
• Performed straightedge on concrete for lanes 1-4 phase 7A.
• Various lab work was performed.
• Observed concrete coring from lane 1-4, phase 7A for the following:
• Lane 1-1, phase 7A, 20.5″, panel 3 from west end.
• Lane 2-1, phase 7A, 21″, panel 2 from west end.
• Lane 3-1, phase 7A, 20.5″, panel 4 from east end.
• Lane 4-1 phase 7A, 22-3/4″, panel 6 from west end.
• Lane 4-2 phase 7A, 22.5″, panel 7 from east end.
