Observations/Finding

At the request of the client’s representative, our AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative visited the job site to observe the contractor’s work activities from a quality standpoint to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals and conducted QC testing per the project drawings and specifications.  The following observations were made on site this shift:

• A proof-roll observation was performed on the shoulder located in the east of Taxiway 22 phase 7B.
• A fully loaded water truck was used to proof-roll the above-mentioned subgrade with multiple passes across the area.
• No severe yielding and/or deflection was observed during the proof-roll at all areas mentioned above.
• Our representative along with Thomas of ATLQA and the ATLNext representative Braylyn observed the proof-roll.
• Installation of power lines for lights at western shoulder performed.
• ATL paving poured asphalt at eastern and western shoulder of phase 7A.
• Observed the placement and testing of concrete for west curb project at east roadway inside lane. from STA 107+40 to 108+90.
• Concrete observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project specifications with regard to temperature, slump, air content, and batch to placement time.
