Observations/Finding

The undersigned ASEC representative visited the site to observe the ongoing construction activities. The primary focus was on the backfilling of the trench, compaction testing, and the installation of new pipe sections.

Trench Backfill and Compaction

• Activity Observed: Backfill of the trench for storm drain installation.
• Method: The contractor backfilled the trench in 6 to 8-inch lifts.
• Compaction Tests: Six compaction tests were performed to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Location: The area of backfill is shown in red on the attached site drawing.

Pipe Installation Progress

• Location: Stretching from Ava Court towards the intersection with Austin Michael Lane.
• Activity Observed: Excavation and laying of new storm pipe sections.
• Method: The contractor coordinated excavation and pipe laying operations.
• Location: The area where the new pipe was being placed is shown in blue on the attached site drawing.
• Compliance: All activities observed were in accordance with the project specifications and standards.
