Observations/Finding

The undersigned ASEC representative was on-site as requested to observe soil placement and compaction for Lots #7, 8, 9, and 23, as well as to observe the installation of the sewer line on the north side of Austin Michael Lane. The focused areas for inspection are highlighted in yellow and blue on the attached drawings, respectively.

Soil Placement and Compaction:

• During soil placement, the contractor was actively removing organic materials from the borrow soils prior to placement as structural fill.
• Compaction tests conducted revealed the following results:
  • Test 1: Wet density 116.4 pcf, Dry density 97.5 pcf, Moisture content 17.0% Elevation 1182
  • Test 2: Wet density 123.1 pcf, Dry density 102.5 pcf, Moisture content 20.5% Elevation 1180
  • Test 3: Wet density 118.4 pcf, Dry density 99.2 pcf, Moisture content 18.5% Elevation 1180
  • Test 4: Wet density 120 pcf, Dry density 100.8 pcf, Moisture content 19.0% Elevation 1180

Sewer Line Installation:

• The installation process of the sewer line along the north side of Austin Michael Lane was observed.
• Visual observation included alignment, depth, and connection quality checks.

This updated report reflects the current status of the compaction tests, noting that the official proctor tests are still pending.
