Observations/Finding

On November 6, 2023, the undersigned ASEC representative visited the Lakeside Development site to visually inspect subgrade soils for the parking area, particularly where the burn pit was previously discovered. This inspection was conducted to assess the condition of subgrade soils following the removal of all deleterious soils from the burn pit area.

Excavation Dimensions

• The dimensions of the excavated area are as follows:
  • Length of sides: 171 feet
  • Bottom width: 100 feet
  • Middle width: 94 feet
  • Top width: 96 feet
  • Depth: Approximately 10 feet

Volume Calculation

• The approximate volume of the excavated area is calculated as 129,850 cubic feet.

Engineering Observations and Recommendations

• The subgrade area was probed using a 3/8″ diameter probe rod to assess its stability and suitability for fill placement.
• Based on these observations, the area is deemed ready for fill to be placed.
