Observations/Finding

At the request of the client’s representative, our AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative, Amin Azimi visited the job site to observe the contractor’s work activities from a quality standpoint to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals and conducted QC testing per the project drawings and specifications.  The following observations were made on site this shift:

• performed a proof-roll on subgrade soils, for the road east of Lots #13 to 19 and the shoulder on the east of project (locations highlighted red in attached photos).  Grading appeared to be at finished grade elevation based on the information. A fully loaded tandem axle truck was used to proof-roll the above-mentioned subgrade with multiple passes across the area.

No yielding and deflection were observed during the proof-roll at all areas mentioned above.
