Our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Carodel Farms site to conduct quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to ensure compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on-site:

1. Installation of manhole C-2: The contractor installed manhole C-2 with 4 inches of #57 stone placed at the bottom prior to manhole installation. The quality control representative visually inspected the installation and verified that it met the project requirements.
2. Installation of HDPE Pipe: Between manhole C-2 and manhole C-1, the contractor installed HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipe. Prior to placing the pipe, the contractor prepared the bottom with 4 inches of #57 stone followed by a 4-inch layer of stone cover once the pipe was placed. The quality control representative visually assessed the installation and confirmed that it was executed according to the project specifications.
3. Backfilling Operations: The contractor placed backfill for the open space zone x and on Lot #106 to Lot #112.  The depth of placement was 6 feet below finished grade. Density tests were taken for Lots #107, 109, 112.  Compaction was performed using a CP56 compactor.  Testing results indicate that the compaction met the project requirements.
4. Drilling Operations: Driller 1 drilled a total of 72 holes with a drilled area of 3528 cubic feet. The hole spacing length was 7 feet by 7 feet, and the hole diameter was 3.5 inches. The quality control representative monitored the drilling operations and confirmed that they were conducted safely and efficiently.
