Observations/Finding

Our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative was on site for the purpose of providing visual quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today:

A meeting was requested at vault #2 with QA, ATLNext, and Cheoah on site.  The Graded Aggregate Base in the vault #2 area had been previously compacted.  There was a concern about using the liquid calcium chloride and getting the needed compaction onthe final lift.  Upon checking job specifications, it was recommended that granular calcium chloride be used.  No further discussions were held.
