Our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative visited the Carodel Farms site to conduct quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to ensure compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on-site:

1. Installation of manhole:  contractor installed manhole CB 38 and manhole A-9. The quality control representative visually inspected the installation and verified that it met the project requirements for installation. A placement of the 4 inches of stone at the bottom subgrade was observed.
2. Installation of HDPE Pipe: Between manhole 37 and 38, A-9 and A-10 contractor installed HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipe. Before placing the pipes, the contractor prepared the bottom with 4 inches of stone and also covered the pipes with a 4-inch stone layer. The quality control representative visually assessed the installation and confirmed that it was executed according to the project specifications. Sheet no: c11.1
3. Backfilling Operations: Contractor backfilled soils in Detention Pond 1C. The quality control representative visually inspected the backfilling operations and confirmed that they were performed in accordance with project requirements.Drilling and blasting of Rock: The driller continued rock blasting in the areas where drilling had been performed on Monday and Tuesday. The quality control representative observed the blasting operations and noted that they were carried out safely and in compliance with applicable safety protocols. No incidents or concerns were observed during the blasting process.
