On 7/17/2023, our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative, visited the Carodel Farms site to perform quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to ensure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and material submittals. The following observations were made on-site:

1. Installation of Precast Concrete Units: The contractor installed precast concrete units numbered 30 and 31 (from sheet C12.1).  Visually inspected the installation of the precast units and confirmed that they met the project requirements.
2. Installation of HDPE Pipes: Between precast concrete units numbered 30 and 31 on sheet C12.1 the contractor also installed HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) piping. Visually inspected the pipe installation and verified that it was in accordance with the project specifications.
3. Rock Drilling: A total of 105 holes were drilled in the rock over an area of 5,145 square feet (105 x 49). The spacing between the drilled holes was 7 feet, and the hole diameter was 4 inches.  Drilling results were collected between started depths and termination depths of rocks. The drilling activities were carried out as per the project specifications.

4. Observed backfilling of soil: backfill soil mix with big rocks were placed between Lot #106 and Lot #116 to depths of 8 foot below finished grade, as previously identified on sheet C 0.1. The quality control representative visually inspected the placement and compaction activities and determined them to be in compliance with project requirements. No issues were noted during the observation.
