Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today.

Upon arrival to the project site, our ASEC representative observed that work was already in progress. Contractors were performing lift placements of approximately 8 to 10 inches in thickness. Density test results were found to be just under required compaction and were reported to the contractor.  Mr. Ram Mogulla P.E. of ASEC advised that a change in material may have been encountered and to allow the contractor to continue fill placement.
