The site was visited by the AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative noted above for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today:

A request was made to inspect a retaining wall footing at the Estates at Old Friendship at the project station of Sta 12+00 to Sta 14+00 North of Old Friendship Way.  Upon arrival it was observed that the footing (at an approximate starting elevation of 1098) and approximately 3 feet of retaining wall had been completed without ASEC observation.  No footing inspection was completed.

A Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) test was completed approximately 2 feet in front of the already completed footing:

A DCP was also completed on top of the retaining wall ( was at 3 feet+)

It was reported by the wall crew that 10 inches of 57 stone & fabric had been placed before building the retaining wall.
