Summary
*
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day:
Soil Observation from Borings at Butner Road Project
Project Location: Butner Road Project Date of Report: [Insert Date] Boring Locations: Boring #9 and Boring #10 (as identified by GPS coordinates)
Objective
This report summarizes the results from the soil samples taken at two boring locations (Boring #9 and Boring #10) at the Butner Road project site. Visual observation techniques were employed to determine the soil types at various depths within each boring.
Boring #10 Observations

Foot 1 (0-1 ft): Dark red sandy silt

Foot 2 (1-2 ft): Red clay silt

Foot 3 (2-3 ft): Light brown clay sand

Foot 4 (3-4 ft): Light brown sandy silt

Foot 5 (4-5 ft): Light brown clay sand

The soil observed in Boring #10 consists of a combination of sandy silt and clay sand with varying shades of red and light brown.
Boring #9 Observations

Foot 0-1.5 (0-1.5 ft): Dark red clay silt

Foot 3.5-5 (3.5-5 ft): Dark red silty sand

Foot 6-7.5 (6-7.5 ft): Dark red silty sand

Foot 8.5-10 (8.5-10 ft): Dark brown with black streaks silty sand

Foot 11.5-12 (11.5-12 ft): Light brown sandy clay

Foot 13.5-15 (13.5-15 ft): Light brown sandy clay (significant clay)

In Boring #9, the soil composition consists mainly of clay silt transitioning into silty sand and sandy clay at deeper depths. The presence of dark red and dark brown soils.
Conclusion
The soil profiles from Boring #9 and Boring #10 at the Butner Road project reveal variations in soil types, including clay silt, sandy silt, silty sand, and sandy clay. These variations suggest different soil characteristics such as drainage, compaction, and possible stability considerations for further engineering analysis. No additional observations were made beyond the depths recorded in this report.
