Summary

<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.</span> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Observed the subcontractor (Lewis contracting) continue backfilling in the area of the manhole placed at the 30" in-line valve approximately at STA 7016+27 (area measured 37' (L)x 8' (W)) and an area measuring approximately 15'(L)x 8'(w) at STA 7005+40. Also observed the placement 9 cubic yards of 3000 psi for mentioned locations.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">At the time of arrival, our representative observed that work was in progress with 6-inch lifts being placed. Subcontractor used a front loader to place the GAB in the area and spread using the bucket of the mini excavator CAT 315F. These materials were then </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">compacted using a trench and jumping jack plat compactor.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Compaction testing was performed using a Troxler nuclear density gauge.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Density test results indicate that the compacted materials met the project requirement of 95% of the maximum dry density obtained by the Modified Proctor ASTM D1557.</span></li> </ul> We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project.
