Our AS Engineering & Consulting (ASEC) representative arrived on site to observe field activities. The following tasks were performed:

Our representative was on site to perform a foundation inspection for Lot 62 Pod 14, Lot 4 Pod 14, Lot 63 Pod 14, Lot 92 Pod 21, Lot 31 Pod 23 and Lot 39 Pod 23.  Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing indicated that the foundations were suitable for a soil bearing pressure of 2,000 psf.  In-place rebar was found to meet job specifications for size, spacing and quantity.

This inspection for Lot 62 Pod 14 encountered soft soils in the foundation’s footer that required remediation. The necessary corrective actions were taken, including the installation of small piers and soil stabilization. The foundation is now suitable for a soil bearing pressure of 2000 psf and is suitable for concrete placement.
