Observations/Finding

As requested, our AS Engineering & Consulting representative was on site to observe daily activities.  Today, the following was observed:

• The placement of backfill for the DOA Fiber infrastructure from 35 feet west of the east end, T/W SG runway 28-10 continued on this day.
• At the time of our arrival our representative observed that work was in progress with duct bank backfill being placed and compacted using trench compactor equipment.  Density testing was performed using a nuclear density gauge.
• Density test results indicate that the compacted materials met the requirement of 90% of a standard proctor (ASTM 689).
