Observations/Finding

As requested, our AS Engineering & Consulting representative was on site to observe field activities.  The following were noted:

• The placement of backfill of soil for DOA Fiber infrastructure from east of N13 and south of runway 27 continued on this day.
• At the time of our arrival, our representative observed work on progress with duct bank backfill being placed and compacted using a trench compactor and tested for compaction using a nuclear density gauge.
• Density result indicated that the compacted materials met the requirement of 90% compaction of a standard proctor (ASTM 689).
