Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today
A slab and footing inspection was scheduled for lot 6, 7 and 8. Due to heavy rainfall the previous day both lot 6 and Lot 7 were heavily saturated, and would require “de-mucking” and re-cutting of the footings. The Rebar was in place, but inspection would need to be re-scheduled.
Two DCP density tests were performed on both lots to assess compaction. The DCP density test report for this day list the test results for the work performed on this day. Based on the density test results, and random probing of the footings, the compaction was found to be acceptable and within plan specifications.
Lot 8 was not ready for inspection. No rebar or footings were in place.
