Observations/Finding
As requested, our ASEC representative arrived on site to perform various foundation investigations. A slab footing evaluation was conducted for Suncity Pinnacle Lot #42. The footing evaluation was performed by visual inspection, hand probing, and dynamic cone penetrometer. During the evaluation, well-compacted soils were encountered underlain by residual soils. These soils were capable of supporting the building structure utilizing the allowable soil bearing pressure of 2000, psf. Reinforcing steel for footings and the slab was visually inspected and appeared to be in accordance with approved project specifications for size, spacing and quantity. During the evaluation it was noted the welded wire mesh was adequately overlapped, the vapor barrier was installed and taped as needed, rebar, standees, were used as needed to provide cover and the rebar appeared to have adequate lap length for its size.
Below are the DCP results and attached is a photo of the lot.
