Observations/Finding
The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today:
A meeting was held with Mr. Ram Mogulla PE with ASEC, Russ Hendrix with ASEC, and Brad (grading foreman) with George Pruitt, Inc to discuss remediation for the creek crossing at the Pickens Landing residential development.
It was requested by Mr. Mogulla that 3 feet of unsuitable soils be excavated on the down flow side of the creek crossing at an elevation of 478. A minimum of 2-2 1/2 feet of surge stone should be placed followed by an additional 12 inches of #57 stone.
The excavation work was observed for an area of approximately 65 feet in length x 10- 15 feet in width. The surge stone was placed; however, the remaining work was not completed on this day.
