The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals.  Our observations were specifically for the proposed home on Lot #8.

Upon arrival it was observed that rebar and plastic barriers were placed in accordance with job specifications for size, spacing and quantity.  It appears the back side of the proposed home will sit on 10 to 15 feet of fill.

It was noted that a section of the footing 25 feet from the right corner of the home adjacent to the road (as viewed from the adjacent road) and another 10 feet along the back of the home from the right corner (a total of 35 linear feet) probed soft between depths of 8 to 16 inches.  A DCP was conducted in this soft area (see attached table for results).  After consultation with Mr. Ram Mogulla, Professional Engineer with AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) it was determined that this section of the footing would need to be undercut 12 inches to remove these soft materials and replaced with 12 inches of #57 stone.  Please see attached drawing (footing remediation is highlighted) for the specific footing location.  This location (35 linear feet) was also marked at the site.

Please see attached drawing.
