Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawling/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observation were made on site today.

The inspector was on site this day to observe a proof-roll of the de-accel lane of the West entrance. A fully loaded tandem axle dump truck was utilized during the proof-roll. Minor deflection was observed in the top few inches of GAB. ASEC recommends removing the GAB and excavating along the de-accel lane 6” followed by backfilling with an additional 6” of GAB.
