Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were made on site today

1. Lots 33 – 36 had been staked and prepped for two temporary retention ponds.(SD4-1, SD4-3) Top soil had been previously cut from the surface (depth of approximately 2 feet) to the usable soil below.
2. A moisture taken of a soil sample from lot 35 and was found to be at 25% (lot 36 – 35)
3. Completely saturated areas along the silt fence for lots 34 – 33 showed signs of “pumping” from general foot traffic, and also areas of water retention (shallow pools of water)
4. A 5 lb bucket of soil was taken to wood engineering for standard compaction tests. The soil was a Red/Yellow Silty Sand material located 1 foot below the surface of Lot 34. The sample was taken from an area that was cut using a full size bulldozer.
