Observations/Finding

The site was visited by the undersigned AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to assure compliance with project drawings/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were made on site today:

• On-site today @ 12:00 for general earthwork observation.
• Upon arrival I noted that a trench was being excavated in the area directly behind and in-between lot 19 and 18. The area cut was outside the area of the main building pad. The contractor explained that the area would be filled with the onsite concrete rubble from various parts of the development. Mainly the broken pieces of the concrete slab that was used as a basketball court.
• General earthwork was also underway on the retention pond B in an area directly behind lot 7. The location is outside the area of the main building pad.
• No structural fill was placed on this day and therefore no tests were performed.
• Fill material salvaged from the pond is stockpiled in lots 7 and 9. Approximately, the top 8 feet in lot 7 did not recieve any compaction. The current elevation of this lot is at street level. This lot is planned to have a basement and the material stockpiled will be removed and not be part of structural fill.
